West Coast University (WCU), a private university with the singular focus of educating health care professionals, is currently seeking a Director, Financial Aid for the Miami Campus. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional to join a growing university as we expand our academic programs in health care and related fields.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with the Corporate Director, Financial Aid Services, the Director, Financial Aid is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the front end aspects of financial aid processes for awarding student loans, grants; Federal Work Study; assuring compliance with federal, state and program requirements; hiring, training, supervising and evaluating the performance of staff.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
May not be in default on a federal loan or owe repayment on a federal grant.
Consent to audio and video record student financial aid appointments and overviews for training and quality assurance purposes required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Title IV aid administration required.
Minimum of 3 years supervisory or managerial experience.
Experience with MS Office, Excel, and basic internet knowledge.
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and education/student accounting systems preferred.
