The Financial Aid Counselor is a first point of contact with students and parents regarding financial aid matters; answer questions, inquiries or requests form students, parents and others in person, by phone, email or in writing; Counsel students on applying for aid, the appeal process and financial aid in general; Performs data entry and reviews student files for completeness and determines if a financial aid application file is complete and if not, requests missing information on a regular basis until it is complete; Prepares and sends information notices and Award Letters.

Bachelor’s degree preferred and one years of appropriate financial aid experience; or a high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience. Knowledge of Title IV Regulations, Department of Education websites (NSLDS, COD), Financial Aid software systems, GI Bill for Higher Education and state regulations related to financial aid.

TRAVEL:
Position may require local driving and/or overnight travel to other campuses.
