Summary: The Financial Aid Coordinator conducts overviews for student financial aid, entrance and exit interviews, and
packages financial aid for all new student enrollments, as well as, continuing students. The Financial Aid Coordinator is
responsible for forecasting cash in-flow for the school. This position awards and tracks Federal Pell Grants and other federal
student loans, Florida Student Assistance Grants, and Student Educational Opportunity Grants.

Some Responsibilities consist of:

 Monitor, evaluate, and recommend financial aid to qualified student applicants.
 Coordinate financial aid processing operations (utilizing, critiquing, and enhancing computer, paper, and customer service
processes) and integration of aid programs.
 Meet with students to analyze student eligibility for financial aid; review and approve student loans. Input FAFSAs daily
and print needs analysis for file Review, monitor, and adjust student aid awards as necessary. Resolve student appeals
pertaining to their financial aid eligibility/awards.
 Advise current and future students regarding financial aid opportunities and procedures; respond to inquiries from
students and parents; interpret and explain government and other regulatory requirements relative to financial aid.
Conduct interviews with local students and phone interviews with out of town students
 Process Financial Aid paperwork and submit to FFE in a timely manner, Follow up with files submitted to FFE for
processing. Check for Missing Documents daily and follow up on them accordingly
 Check for and print ISIR’s on a daily basis
 Follow up with students on any C-Codes, Verification or Selective Service Issues
 Check for and print Award Letters on a daily basis
 Process repacks on continuing students in a timely manner.
 Process Special Needs Budget Increases for student with no remaining need
 Follow Up with Special Needs in order to make sure the funds are approved
 Meet with any student discontinuing their program or going on Leave of Absence
 Ensure that notes on all students counseled are input in Campus daily
 Other duties

Qualifications/Education:
 Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 2 to 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
 Prior experience in proprietary schools is a plus.
