Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferences:
The selected candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and recent financial aid experience working in a financial aid office. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task, to be detail oriented, and to easily adapt to various situations. This individual will have experience in PeopleSoft.
Job Description:
This position is a Senior Coordinator, supervising and managing the coordination of the State Programs and the Federal Title IV Refund and Repayment process. These responsibilities combine program management and supervision with the global responsibility of Title IV Refunds and management of the State on-line system and reporting integration within PeopleSoft. These responsibilities are more expansive and complex than the entry-level program coordinator positions. The span of control and supervision is greater and requires more coordination with other areas.
Supervises all staff in these areas.
Ensures proper coordination of state aid processing and reporting within the state database.
Provides advice and counsel to students and parents on all aspects of the financial aid process.
Performs review and coordination of reports necessary for programmatic reconciliation within PeopleSoft systems. Request new reports as needed to diagnose problems and perform requisite information maintenance.
Analyzes and manages PeopleSoft functions related to Title IV calculations and refunds and the state program management system.
Runs queries to monitor and manage the drop for non–payment processes in PeopleSoft.
Performs quality analysis and system evaluation in developing and redefining business processes within the PeopleSoft system.
Troubleshoots within the PeopleSoft system to ensure compliance with rules and regulations associated with aid processing.
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of University, Federal, and State regulations and policies pertaining to aid programs and maintains contact with various outside contacts-agencies, etc
Serves as backup in debugging and evaluating processes supporting PeopleSoft.
Attends’ meetings and workshops and maintains appropriate knowledge of Federal, State, and Institutional rules and regulations
Assists with Financial Aid outreach functions both off and on campus.
Other appropriate duties as assigned.

Regular hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. The position requires occasional evening and weekend hours and one must be able to work a flexible schedule as required.
