Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferences: The preferred candidate should have financial aid experience in a financial aid office and PeopleSoft/Oracle experience. We are seeking an individual who is detail oriented and has strong communication skills.
Job Description: Responsible for the monitoring and implementation of Federal Work Study Program, the Federal Teach Program and the Florida Career College Work Experience program regulations, policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Responsible for coordination and administration of Federal Aid to students in Special and Concurrent programs.

Acts as a liaison between University departments and organizations that have students working under the Federal Work Study program and the Office of Student Financial Assistance, Human Resources, as well as a mediator between the students and the supervisors.

Responsible for advising students and department supervisors of work study policies and procedures and general student financial assistance information.

Advises and counsels students and parents regarding the financial aid process. Analyzes and evaluates students’ financial needs. Advises on availability and sources of financial assistance including Pell Grant, Campus-based aid, Stafford loan, scholarships, and other programs. Interprets to students the policies, the processes, and the regulations pertaining to financial aid and all aid programs. Counseling occurs through personal interviews, by telephone, and email communications.
Participates in outreach activities and presentation of financial aid information to groups of students, parents, high school counselors, and/or the general public in workshop or training sessions.
Attends professional workshops, meetings, and training sessions to assure adequate professional development and keep abreast of current rules and regulations.

Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.

Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends required.
