Job Posting: Assistant Director of Financial Aid
Location: New College of Florida, Sarasota, Fl - Honors College -part of the State of Florida University System
Small liberal arts college located on Sarasota Bay on the grounds of the old John Ringling Estate
Job Description:
Manages the Federal Direct Loan Programs (including Parent PLUS), the Alternative Loan Program, and the Default Prevention Program.
Manages the Off Campus Study program for financial aid purposes. Counsels students and their families regarding total financial aid award packages, retaining aid eligibility, and eligibility/responsibility for aid for off-campus study.
Performs transfer monitoring functions for the College to ensure NCF students are not paid financial aid by another school. Assists with federal aid verification. Assists with bringing in ISIRS, checking to ensure that we have the correct ISIR for the prospective or enrolled student, and locking correct records.
Serves as the College's liaison officer for The Tuition Exchange Program. Serves as the College's liaison for handling student issues and questions regarding Tuition Waivers/Exemptions, and processes these requests. Serves as the Financial Aid Summer Program liaison.
Provides frontline financial aid counseling to students and their families regarding the sources and availability of need-based and merit-based aid, including the Direct Loan Programs (including Parent PLUS), alternative loans, Federal Grant Programs (Pell and Supplemental Educational Opportunity), the Federal Work-Study Program, State of Florida programs (e.g., Bright Futures and Florida Student Assistance Grant) and NCF's institutional scholarship programs.
