Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferences: Excellent customer service and presentation skills and recent financial aid experience. PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
Job Description: Responsible for the Transient Enrollment process, FLVC/Florida Shines system processing, and the coordination and compliance of Study Abroad/Exchange programs. Responsible for budget adjustments and awarding of aid for transient students, as well as, students enrolled in study abroad and exchange programs.
Assist with special projects and/or programs as needed.
Responsible for reviewing and completing Transient Enrollment processes, FLVC/Florida Shines system processing, and the coordination and compliance of Study Abroad/Exchange programs.
Responsible for the COA/budget adjustments and awarding of aid for transient and study abroad students according to federal, state, and institutional regulations/policies.
Follows established fiscal budget limits for financial aid award programs to prevent overspending.
Ability to understand, interpret and effectively apply federal regulations regarding administration of federal student financial aid programs.
Maintain an on-going understanding of PeopleSoft system and its application to all areas of processing and awarding financial aid.
Ability to maintain files accurately, in paper and in software programs.
Ability to efficiently organize, make decisions, prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently and as a team player within a highly computerized environment and with frequent daily interruptions.
Advises and counsels students and parents regarding the financial aid process. Analyzes and evaluates students’ financial needs. Advises on availability and sources of financial assistance including Pell Grant, Campus-based aid, Stafford loan, scholarships, and other programs. Interprets to students the policies, the processes, and the regulations pertaining to financial aid and all aid programs.
Attends professional workshops, meetings, and training sessions to ensure adequate professional development and keep abreast of current rules and regulations.
Provides training for areas of responsibility.
Provides feedback on ways to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.

Location: UCF Main Campus Orlando, Florida
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends required.
