Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to process student financial aid applications, and ensure that all forms are complete in order to be inputted into BSA’s third party financial aid processor, FAME. Financial Aid Officers will also estimate the amount the prospect will be eligible for.
- Interview prospective and returning students and collect required documents to determine their financial aid eligibility.
- Assist students in the interpretation of all financial aid documents.
- Explain to students the different types of federal financial aid and state programs available at BSA.
- Advise students about financial aid eligibility and application procedures.
- General counseling of students regarding any and all financial aid assistance and tuition payments.
- Submit forms to FAME, Department of Education, and/or the Fiscal Department.
- Conduct financial aid entrance and exit interviews for all students.
Qualification:
- Bilingual Spanish/English prefered
- Minimum of one (1) year experience
- Associates Degree or higher
- Great customer service and communication skills
