Preferences: Prefer candidates with prior customer service experience and/or comprehensive understanding of financial aid.

Job Description: Responsible for the dissemination of information for Student Financial Assistance with primary emphasis on telephone counseling.
Advises and counsels students and parents regarding the financial aid process.

Analyzes and evaluates students' financial needs.

Advises on availability and sources of financial assistance including Pell Grant, campus-based aid, Stafford loan, scholarships, and other programs. Interprets to students the policies, the processes, and the regulations pertaining to financial aid and all aid programs. Counseling occurs by telephone.

Some evening hours may be required.

Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience; or a high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience.

Salary: $12.00 per hour
