Position: Financial Aid Manager

The Financial Aid Manager is responsible for application review, timely execution of financial aid packages, monthly reconciliation of state and federal funding, return of Title IV aid, Satisfactory Academic Progress evaluations and supervising processing staff. The Financial Aid Manager will focus on an area of expertise while maintaining broad knowledge of the financial aid office functionality. The Financial Aid Manager will report to an associate director of financial aid.
Qualifications:
• Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, preferably in a related field.
• Experience: Required: Minimum of three years of financial aid operations and/or administrative management experience. Experience with Colleague preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrate leadership ability and utilization of administrative systems in an enrollment management focused financial aid environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial aid regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; writing composition.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated competencies working in a technology driven operation.
• Ability to work collegially and collaboratively within a team and able to react and adjust quickly to changing conditions.
• Employment is dependent upon successful access to the National Student Loan Data System, which requires all federal student loans to be in good standing and not in default and a credit check to review that student loans are not in default. |
