ABOUT THE POSITION:

Works under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance, The Quality Assurance and Accounting Specialist supports and assists in fostering and monitoring compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, other legal obligations, and institutional policies and procedures governing the administration of the principal functions within Student Financial Services.

The Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist will help to ensure that applicable policies and procedures within the office are fully documented and adhered to.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

Responsible for Return of Title IV Calculations (R2T4) on COD, NSLDS, and ERP system.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and standards, and interprets applicability of changes.
Assist with various administrative compliance tasks as needed.
Assist with discrepancies resolution between financial aid, credit, and collections and finance as it relates to R2T4.
Assist with reconciliation of federal and state reports.
Maintain an effective file and store system on SharePoint for R2T4 records.
Communicate with students and staff concerning award adjustments.
Create/modify R2T4 reports as needed.
Perform special projects and assist with other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Director of Quality Assurance and compliance.
Required Skills


Experience with Microsoft Office suite type products including Excel and WORD.
Excellent organizational skills, with special attention to details. Must be able to multi-task.
Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to establish effective rapport with students, internal and external customers.
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to work independently on broader assignments with the responsibility for the planning of work.
Ability to research records and procedures independently.
Exceptional customer service skills.


Required Education:

Graduation from a standard high school (or equivalent diploma)



Preferred Education:



Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.



Required Experience
Two (2) years of student financial aid or related experience required.
